It feels great to play under Rohit’s captaincy: Rahane rallies behind under-fire skipper
Ajinkya Rahane, who is Team India’s vice-captain for the two-match Test series against West Indies, has come out in support of under-fire Rohit Sharma.

The 36-year-old is facing massive critcism for his poor captaincy and below-par performances in international cricket.

India were undone by Australia in the World Test Championship final, with Rohit failing to score runs. Also, his captaincy moves were questioned by leading cricket experts.

Former India player Sunil Gavaskar came down heavily on Sharma for India’s continued failure across formats.

The sub-continent team hasn’t won any ICC trophy since 2013. Meanwhile, Rahane feels Rohit is a great captain and gives freedom to his players.

“It feels great to play under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy. Rohit gives full freedom to all the players and he backs them. This is a good sign of captaincy.”
